Our story
Puflibooks is a children’s book illustration agency that partners with independent and self-publishing authors to illustrate, design, and guide children’s books from idea to publication.
Founded in 2024 by Antonella Fant and her husband Mateo Barrios, Puflibooks is the result of many rewarding experiences of Anto working with self-publishing authors. Looking to continue fostering these long-term relationships, they are on a mission to create an illustration partner exclusively dedicated to indie children's book authors.
Anto has been working as a freelance children's book illustrator for over 10 years, developing her unique signature style. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from an Argentine university. As our Creative Director, she guides and support all of our visual and quality efforts.
They are also huge fans of Disney World!
Mateo has been a business lawyer since 2018 in Córdoba, Argentina, with experience working as a project manager for Fortune 500 clients in the U.S. As our Agency Director, he handles daily operations, communications and partnerships.

Long-story short, they are our favorite people. What started as freelance illustration work back in 2013, slowly turned into many rewarding long-term relationships.
We want to prove that if you wish to make a quality picture book, you don't need to be an expert, nor have a huge budget. You are already capable, and with a bit of guidance, you will bring your story to life.
